Job Overview
Haven Care Group are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the Management team within a Children’s Residential Home specialising in the care of young people with emotional and challenging behaviours in the Derby area. This role is full‑time and permanent.

Essential Attributes
- Recent experience working within the residential sector at registered manager level within a Children residential EBD service
- Certified Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent as a minimum
- Certified Diploma Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or equivalent, or willingness to work towards completing this
- Experience in leading and supervising a team within a Residential Child Care setting
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
Responsibilities
- Implement and work in accordance with all aspects of the Statement of Purpose for your service
- Lead and manage a team to deliver excellent care and support for young people within the service
- Carry out routine meetings, supervisions, probationary reviews and lead on investigations for any concerns raised with your staff team
- Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people; offer supervision and support to senior staff in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
- Attend childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people
- Undertake direct work with young people and act as an appropriate role model
- Develop systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive
- Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people
- Chair children’s meetings and facilitate consultation with young people generally
- Note: you must be 21 years of age or above to apply due to children’s homes regulations
