Job description

We are looking for a resilient, compassionate, and experienced Registered Manager to lead our home in Southall. You will be the driving force behind the home’s culture, shaping a therapeutic environment where children can find stability and confidence. Reporting to the Responsible Individual, you will advocate for the children in your care, lead a dedicated staff team, and ensure the home exceeds the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide visible, motivational leadership and manage day‑to‑day operations to foster a positive, child‑centred culture.
  • Champion safeguarding and welfare of every child, overseeing care planning, therapeutic support, and outcomes to ensure young people flourish.
  • Register with Ofsted and maintain full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
  • Lead recruitment, induction, and retention; deliver regular supervision and ensure the team has the training and coaching needed to provide high‑quality care.
  • Manage the home’s budget, staff rotas, and health & safety compliance, ensuring a safe, clean, and homely environment.
  • Provide on‑call duties, including out‑of‑hours rota, and cover when required.
Qualifications
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (or equivalent), or a willingness to achieve this within an agreed timeframe.
  • Significant experience in a senior role within a children’s home (e.g., Deputy or Registered Manager).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Children Act 1989, Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Strong organisational skills, financial acumen, and the ability to lead and motivate a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Salary: £52,194 – £55,323 per annum. Full‑time, 36 hours per week.
