A leading banking institution is seeking a Regional Security Advisor to support the organization in building secure services. The role involves traveling across the UK to conduct security reviews, providing support during incidents, and ensuring effective security controls are in place. You’ll act as a subject matter expert in a security related field, making sure that security implications are understood in the right way, building security early into design.
You’ll be joining an exciting and fast-paced area of the bank, where you can expect great exposure both for you and your work.
As a Regional Security Advisor, you'll work at a domain level to understand and ensure robust security is continuously considered and incorporated through to support. You'll be required to travel around the UK to attend sites, undertaking detailed security reviews, ensuring all physical security controls are installed and operating as designed to mitigate security threats. You'll provide specialist security support for colleagues following any impacting security incidents, liaising with local authorities and business colleagues, identifying any weaknesses in security controls and creating actions plans to resolve.
To be successful in this role, you'll need detailed knowledge of the physical security subject area and experience of setting risk appetites. You'll also demonstrate experience of, or a willingness to learn risk management frameworks.
