Overview

Role Purpose: To drive sales growth and brand development across the South of England by leading, managing, and coaching the regional field sales team. The role ensures the successful execution of Safilo’s commercial strategies, drives territory performance, and strengthens customer relationships while meeting sales, profitability, and market share targets.

Responsibilities
  1. Regional Sales & Business Development: Own and lead the commercial development of the South England territory, ensuring achievement of sales targets, profitability, and brand penetration. Develop and execute annual territory business plans, customer segmentation, and sales projections. Identify and convert new business opportunities, including optical and non-optical (e.g., solar) accounts. Maintain close relationships with key regional customers and act as Safilo's ambassador in the South.

  2. Sales Team Leadership: Lead and coach the Southern field sales team to ensure strong performance and professionalism. Conduct regular field visits (3–4 days/week) to support team development and customer engagement. Set individual goals and track progress through ongoing feedback and reviews.

  3. Go-to-Market Strategy Implementation: Execute go-to-market initiatives (product launches, brand activations, promotions) aligned with Safilo’s national strategy, localized for Southern market needs. Collaborate with Trade Marketing to optimize visibility, including merchandising tools and campaign execution across eligible accounts. Monitor sales KPIs, visit effectiveness, and customer engagement to ensure the success of commercial programs.

  4. Sales Process & Operations: Ensure proper order collection and adherence to commercial policies, including credit management and customer agreements. Submit weekly forecasts and reports, highlighting key performance, opportunities, and market intelligence (e.g., competitor activity). Optimize team planning, route efficiency, and coverage of top accounts on the South territory using tools such as Compass and Tableau.
