💡 Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Part‑Time Sales Manager to help manage and grow our presence within the Ethnic & World Foods retail market.

This flexible 1–2 days per week contract role is ideal for someone with strong relationships in the sector who enjoys a hands‑on approach across existing account management and new business development.

You will play a key role in strengthening our reach across Leicester, the Midlands, and surrounding regions — working directly with the Sales Director.

🔑 Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management
    Manage and develop existing retail and wholesale accounts within the ethnic foods sector.
    Build strong relationships with store owners, buyers, and purchasing managers.
    Maintain consistent contact, support retailer needs, and ensure excellent service levels.
    Review product performance and identify opportunities for range expansion.
  • New Business Development
    Open new opportunities with independent retailers, cash & carry outlets, wholesalers, convenience groups, and regional supermarket chains.
    Introduce new product lines, negotiate listings, and support promotional activity.
    Conduct store visits to present ranges and discuss commercial opportunities.
  • Sales Execution & Reporting
    Monitor in‑store availability, merchandising, and pricing.
    Support promotional planning and product launches.
    Provide regular updates to the Sales Director, including activity reports and market insights.
🧠 About You
  • ✨ Experienced in Ethnic / World Foods, specialist groceries, or FMCG sales
  • ✨ Knowledgeable about Leicester & Midlands independent retail and wholesale networks
  • ✨ Confident managing relationships with existing accounts
  • ✨ Skilled at identifying and converting new retail opportunities
  • ✨ Comfortable working independently on a part‑time schedule
  • ✨ Able to visit stores, wholesalers, and customer sites as needed
  • ✨ Professional, reliable, and commercially focused
  • A background in Ethnic / World Foods is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Frozen Foods or specialist grocery categories is also a plus.
