Job description
Regional HR Advisor

We are working with an industry leading client on the lookout for an experienced Regional HR Advisor to join their People Experience team, overseeing multiple sites across the South East region.

This Regional HR Advisor will play a key role in supporting multiple sites across the South East and outskirts of London, providing professional HR advice, coaching managers, and partnering closely with leaders to deliver practical, people-driven solutions that make a real impact.

This is a regional role that combines operational delivery with strategic influence. You'll spend around two to three days per week visiting sites, with the remainder of your time spent working remotely. A company vehicle will be provided for travel between sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert, trusted HR advice across a wide range of employee relation cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and capability – ensuring fair, consistent and legally sound outcomes.
  • Own ER case work end to end, offering proactive support and coaching to managers and helping to build confidence and capability in handling sensitive people matters.
  • Champion the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and development to exit, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive colleague experience.
  • Coach and upskill managers to strengthen their people management skills, with a particular focus on ER capability and confident decision‑making.
  • Partner with operational teams to build strong, trust‑based relationships and foster a culture of accountability, fairness, and open communication.
  • Use ER data and insights to identify trends, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement in policies, processes, and manager training.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies, applying a pragmatic and balanced approach that protects both the business and its people.
  • Manage HR administration with precision and care – strong organisation and record‑keeping are essential, especially in a fast‑paced environment without a case management system.
  • Contribute to wider HR initiatives, bringing fresh ideas, a strategic mindset, and a passion for improving the colleague experience.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in an HR Advisor role with broad exposure across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Law and practical experience handling ER cases end to end.
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and influencing skills across all levels.
  • Confident using HR systems – we use Workday (HRIS), Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • A data‑driven and commercially minded approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to balance operational delivery with strategic thinking.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential) and willingness to travel regularly across the region.
  • Experience in the logistics or distribution sector would be advantageous but not essential.
Benefits
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
  • Private Medical Insurance.
  • Matched pension contributions 4.5% rising to 7.5% after 2 years' service.
  • Life Assurance (4x salary).
  • Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • Access to retail discounts and wellbeing support.
