Job summary

A leading manufacturing organization is looking for a confident Regional Health and Safety Manager to oversee a cluster of high-risk facilities in North Scotland. This permanent position offers a salary of £75,000 to £85,000 plus a car allowance and bonus. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Health and Safety and extensive experience in cultural change. Key responsibilities include site analysis, producing H&S roadmaps, and leading accountability across sites.

Qualifications

  • Diploma level qualified in H&S such as NEBOSH, NVQ Level 5/6, IOSH Level.
  • High risk background with experience in managing COMAH facilities.
  • Prior experience at senior level of H&S.
  • Prior cultural change experience.

Responsibilities

  • Run a detailed analysis and site review across the facilities.
  • Produce a localised H&S roadmap in line with Group standards.
  • Support sites on a cultural journey towards interdependency.
  • Educate, train and drive accountability for HSE.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports for accountability in H&S.

Role: Regional Health and Safety Manager
Salary: £75000 – £85000 per annum (DOE) + £7300 car allowance, >15% Bonus
Location: North Scotland

Seeking a Group / Regional / Multisite Health and Safety (H&S) Manager to support a large cluster of high-risk facilities in the North of Scotland on behalf of an impressive and diverse production company, who has global reach.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the business going through a period of transformation, growth and enhancement. A permanent position, which will include site standardisation across the group as well as having exposure to a wide variety of projects. For example, site expansions, technology improvements and leading HSE on large scale CAPEX projects, liaising with other departments like Engineering and Production. As well as leading cultural change and taking them on a collective maturity journey.

Internally the right culture fit is crucial for this organisation, seeking a confident candidate who is credible, empowering, positive and engaging to drive H&S forward and ensure that the organisation is fit for the future. This is an essential role for the business and will have direct impact on the sites. The successful individual will sit on the leadership team and be very well supported by the H&S Director, Site Director, wider H&S team and Operations. They will be the subject matter expert for Health and Safety and a visible and approachable leader across the multiple facilities across the region, directly influencing the direction of Safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run a detailed analysis and site review across the facilities, ensuring gaps are closed
  • Produce a functional and clear localised H&S roadmap in line with Group standards
  • Support and guide the sites, taking them on a cultural journey towards interdependency
  • Educate, train and drive accountability for HSE across the sites
  • Ensure all H&S is paramount across the current and upcoming projects
  • To coach and mentor direct reports, to educate and empower the sites to take accountability for H&S.
Essential criteria
  • Diploma level qualified in H&S such as NEBOSH, NVQ Level 5/6, IOSH Level
  • High risk background with experience with Process Safety and managing COMAH facilities (including manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, oil and gas, chemical)
  • Prior experience at this senior level of H&S
  • Prior cultural change experience
