Refrigeration Engineer - Food Manufacturing

We are looking for a Refrigeration Engineer to join one of the UK's leading food manufacturing companies, supplying a wide range of products to both retailers and the foodservice sector.

Opportunity highlights

Competitive Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

The Refrigeration Engineer role

• Repair & Maintenance of A/C, chiller and freezers.
• Mechanical and Electrical work knowledge for Refrigerant.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient installation.
• Able to be repair and fault finding.
• Ability to demonstrate a good level of understanding of commercial and industrial refrigeration electrics.
• Attend reactive service calls on a variety of air conditioning units including splits, ASHP and VRF systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on refrigerant unit, ASHP and ventilation units.
• Installation of air conditioning systems.

The ideal candidate

• Fully qualified with F-Gas Certification
• Experience in Air Conditioning, Freezer/ Refrigerator Technician
• Having leadership abilities
• Being practical
• Having good written and spoken communication skills
• Having interpersonal abilities
• Being aware of safety issues
• Being able to read technical drawings
• Knowledge of ventilation installation would be an advantage
• Knowledge of Air Source Heat Pumps would be an advantage
