Job summary

A healthcare recruitment consultancy is seeking experienced PACU/Recovery Operating Theatre Practitioners to join a perioperative team in Kingston upon Thames. This full-time role requires a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Operating Theatre Practitioner (ODP) with a strong commitment to patient care and a minimum of two years' experience in recovery. Application Overview

We invite experienced PACU/Recovery Operating Theatre Practitioners to join our client’s perioperative team at an acute hospital located in Kingston upon Thames, near Wimbledon and Richmond Park. The hospital has three operating theatres and one endoscopy suite and is within easy reach of TfLand national rail services and local bus networks. This is a full‑time role of 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead recovery care for patients following operating theatre procedures, providing a high standard of care.
  • Develop advanced clinical skills and specialist practice with minimal supervision.
  • Promote a positive working environment and an open culture of learning within the department.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional surgical and orthopaedic care.
Qualifications
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Operating Theatre Practitioner (ODP) with appropriate NMC/HCPC registration.
  • Minimum of two years full‑time post‑registration UK‑based recovery experience, with at least one year UK‑based recovery experience.
  • Strong commitment to patient safety and recovery excellence.
