The post holder will deliver a high‑quality reception and support service within the Rheumatology Outpatients Department. It is essential to have effective communication skills when liaising with patients, their relatives, the general public, and a diverse range of multi‑professional staff both internal and external to the Trust.
The candidate will serve as the first point of contact for all appointment bookings and will liaise with relevant clinicians as appropriate. Responsibilities also include accurate and timely entry of patient information into the Patient Administration System (PAS), adhering to the principles of ‘real‑time data entry’, and supporting the waiting list coordinator in managing bookings for the Rheumatology Day Unit.
