Description

V.Ships Leisure is looking for Receptionist/ Night Auditor on behalf of Orient Express Sailing Yachts Corinthian. To provide passenger with elegant, friendly, personalized front-desk service, in a manner consistent with Orient Express’ high standard of passenger service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide luxury service to guests in a courteous and professional manner according to Orient Express standards.
  • Maintain and update the AVO system and follow-up with managers.
  • Responsible for the management, storage, stock and cost control of paper goods, office supplies and printed material for the reception department.
  • Process all guests at embarkation/registration according to the embarkation SOP. This includes, check-in, collecting passports and other documents. Issue boarding cards to each guest embarking.
  • Maintain a working cash flow for the guests’ transactions, collecting payments, etc. This fund has to be balanced daily. Receipts are to be submitted to the Night Auditor for processing. Shortages are the responsibility of the Receptionist.
  • Process guest credit-card vouchers for eventual settlement of their voyage Account.
  • Ensure that all guest complaints received at the Reception Desk are either settled immediately or referred to the relative party for follow up. Guest to be promptly advised of all actions taken.
  • Become knowledgeable concerning all facets of shipboard organization and services, ports of call and shore excursions.
  • Receive and inventory lost and found items. Inventory of found items has to be completed in a presence of person submitting them and both parties sign inventory log. Maintain a log of all found items and reports of lost items.
  • Ensure that the Reception area is kept in a presentable, clean and orderly manner at all times.
  • Prepares the Berthing list, Guest lists, Party invitations, Gift Orders and special notes from the Ship’s management to the guests.
  • Manage the library books to ensure shelves are well presented and books are organized.
  • Active participation in onboard training programs.
Qualifications
  • Fluent English plus two additional international languages required (French, German, Spanish, Mandarin).
  • High school degree or related. Hospitality training appreciated.
  • Previous professional experience: Any role in Guest Service in an ultra-luxury environment, including reception, concierge, sales operator. Preferred experience at sea or in a shore-based luxury hotel/resort (1 – 2 years’ experience).
  • Shipboard experience: Not required but preferred.
  • Valid STCW certificates.
  • Valid Pre-Employment Medical.
  • C1D visa mandatory for all positions.
