Qualifications

Job description

Curledge Street Academy is seeking a passionate and motivated Reception Class Teacher to join our Early Years team on a 0.4 FTE maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a caring committed and forward‑thinking school community.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher who can bring energy, creativity and high expectations to our Reception classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years team to deliver high‑quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of all children.

We are looking for someone who :
  • Has Qualified Teacher Status (ECTs welcome)
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
  • Has experience working with children with SEND
  • Is committed to maintaining a stimulating inclusive and high‑expectation learning environment
  • Is able to use a range of teaching styles and strategies to support all learners
  • Has experience with or a willingness to learn Read Write Inc. phonics (desirable)
  • Is a reflective practitioner who works well as part of a collaborative team
