Job description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Reach Stacker Operator to join our client at a busy container storage yard. This is a temporary role for an initial 12-week period, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

Duration: 12 weeks – Potential to go Permanent
Pay Rate: £13.13 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:45 - 16:30 (overtime and weekend work may be required)

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a reach stacker/container lifter to move and position containers and isotanks
  • Work within an environment handling bulk chemicals in isotanks, with full awareness of emergency procedures
  • Complete daily safety checks using company-provided technology/apps
  • Participate in safety walk-round audits
  • Complete required paperwork and administration, including templates and interchange documentation
  • Adhere strictly to terminal safety procedures, traffic management rules, and operating processes
  • Carry out safe liner removal and fitting in bulk containers to prepare for customer use
  • Remove garment rails and other container fittings to return units to general-purpose specification
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring a clean and safe terminal environment
  • Accurately report any faults, damage, incidents, or near-misses to supervisors
