The Ramp Training and Compliance Officer provides strong leadership and support to the Aircraft Operations (ACO) and Private Jet Centre (PJC) Team ensuring that all operational areas are operating safely, compliantly, and all obligatory, regulatory and statutory requirements are met.
As a Ramp Training and Compliance Officer your key responsibilities include:
- Deliver health and safety requirements, including DSE assessments, health & safety awareness, and CAP compliance (such as CAP 642 Airside Safety Management, CAP 393 Air Navigation Order 2016 (CAA UK) etc.). CAA/DfT SCD, ICAO Annex 19 - Safety Management Systems (SMS), Operators & Airlines Ground Handling Manuals, IATA Manuals and EASA Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/20
- Ensure adherence to documented procedures, operational manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures by assisting with updates following regulatory or legislative changes.
- Deliver timely reporting and resolution of hazards or unsafe acts through the Accident and Safety reporting scheme, with escalation to relevant managers.
- Assist in the delivery of safety awareness campaigns and ad-hoc training to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Maintenance and Competency training scheme by acting as an assessor/verifier where qualified, and by helping with monthly assessments and record-keeping.
- Deliver training and coaching for staff joining ACO & PJC, assisting with induction and recurrent training to build competence and customer service standards.
- Ensure effective engagement with the Aircraft Operations Manager team by providing updates and feedback on staff training and performance.
- Assist in the delivery and maintenance of training courses across Aircraft Operations & Jet Centre, ensuring training packages are accurate, up to date, and aligned with new procedures and instructions.
- Ensure training materials and manuals are maintained and reviewed annually, with timely updates in line with internal Quality Management Systems and external regulatory frameworks.
- Assist in the delivery of internal and external audits by providing documentation, evidence, and corrective actions as required.
- Contribute to the delivery of regular internal Team/Turnround audits, trend analysis, and performance monitoring, producing reports where required.
- Ensure the development of staff competencies by providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring where appropriate.
- Deliver training and validation of selected staff in aircraft push-back procedures (including radio telephony), maintaining associated training packages and validation records.
- Ensure effective communication of changes in service provision, legislation, or company practices to staff, maintaining accurate records of dissemination.
- Commit to personal development by attending training, audits, and refresher courses as required.
- Support the Head of Training and Compliance and wider leadership team by completing any other reasonable duties as requested.
What you will need, is:
- 5 years of experience working within Aircraft Operations or our Private Jet Centre
- Proven extensive knowledge of Out Bound Baggage, Aircraft Operations, and our Private Jet Centre
- Knowledge of EASA/CAA regulation and IATA requirements(Essential)
- Knowledge of Safety Management System (E)
- Knowledge of our Quality Management System (E)
- Knowledge of Environmental Management System (E)
You must also be:
- A qualified Assessor/ Internal Verifier for the Maintenance and Competency training scheme
Specialist skills & knowledge we are looking for:
- Expertise in working within a RAMP operational environment on an airfield. (E)
- Computer literate familiar with Microsoft excel, word and PowerPoint (E)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (E)
- Ability to analyse and interpret data - driving insights and recommendations for improvement (E)
- Presenting technical information to different stakeholders. (E)
- Ability to deliver results often through others (E)

Hours of Work:
- Full time permanent
- Operational roster, including early, late and weekend shifts
- Hours are subject to change due to operational requirements.
