Overview

We are looking for a Radiology Team Coordinator to join the Radiology Team at York Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has enthusiasm, drive and is forward thinking. Our administrative team are committed to providing a high quality service to our patients. It is paramount that scans are arranged with care and attention to detail to ensure that each patient receives the correct preparation, examination and treatment. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently line managing the team and have excellent interpersonal skills. You will work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff on a daily basis, organising and prioritising your own workload and that of others. You must have the ability to exercise sound judgement in relation to problem solving operational issues on a day to day basis, and the ability to engage with and motivate a team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a changing and developing service working alongside the existing management team. This role will be based within the Radiology Department at York Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide team line management support on a daily basis. The main focus being the essential management of the day-to-day operational issues, ensuring the smooth running of the service, including all HR management of sickness, etc.


• Maintenance and crucial development of clinics and appointment systems


• Monitor patient pathways and waiting lists and take action as appropriate


• Develop and lead the Scanning Administration Team


• Maintain excellent working relationships with the clinical teams

Hours

The post is 37.5 Hours per week to work Monday - Friday. Hours to be worked between 8.00 - 18:00 core service hours.
