We are looking for an enthusiastic Radiographer to join our friendly team, to undertake a variety of plain film, dental, fluoroscopy, mobile and theatre examinations efficiently and effectively for our patients, adhering to best practice of radiographic technique.
Working within the Radiology department at FGH provides excellent opportunities to gain experience in a wide range of imaging procedures including trauma, MSK, paediatrics and oncology. The department is equipped with a Siemens DR room and a Phillips DR room as well as 2 Phillips DR mobiles, two GE image intensifiers and a brand new GE fluoroscopy suite.
The department carries out a full range of investigations, including MR, CT, US and SPECT Imaging. PACS was installed in April 2007 and updated in 2017.

Furness General Hospital is on the doorstep to the Lake District, set in remarkable surroundings, facilitating outdoor activities. The Trust operates from Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, plus community premises including Millom Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre. The three main hospitals provide a range of services including ED, critical care, diagnostics, therapies and day case/inpatient surgery, with local outreach services and diagnostics from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
