Quantity Surveyor

NEO Property Solutions (Part of PTSG)
📍 Leeds – Cross Green Industrial Estate
🕗 08:00–17:00 (16:30 Friday finish)
🏢 Office based

A role with real influence

At NEO Property Solutions, you’ll sit right at the centre of contract delivery — influencing pricing, managing variations, supporting operations and feeding directly into senior decision-making. The work is varied, fast-paced and genuinely important, supporting Passive Fire Protection projects across housing, healthcare, education and major commercial frameworks.

You’ll join a 12-strong commercial team and work closely with a long-standing Commercial Manager, alongside the Head of Commercial and Managing Director.

What you’ll be responsible for

This is a hands‑on commercial role with strong exposure across the full contract lifecycle, including:

  • Pricing works using SOR schedules and first principles where required
  • Preparing, costing and securing approval for variations
  • Attending client progress meetings (face‑to‑face and via Teams)
  • Working closely with Operations to ensure smooth, efficient project delivery
  • Producing monthly valuations and keeping WIP to a minimum
  • Reconciling works management systems and reviewing contract costs
  • Raising orders and managing subcontractors to ensure commercial return
  • Feeding accurate, timely information into senior management forecasting

You’ll have visibility of performance, ownership of your numbers, and a clear voice in how contracts are run.

Who this suits

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has experience in Passive Fire Protection or a related construction sector
  • Is confident managing pricing, valuations and variations
  • Can handle changing priorities without losing control of the detail
  • Is ready to step up from a Trainee / Assistant role or consolidate QS experience

Degree-qualified is ideal, but not essential — proven capability and commercial awareness matter more.

What’s in it for you
  • Competitive salary
  • Car or car allowance
  • 23 days annual leave
  • Medicash healthcare (optical, dental, prescriptions + lifestyle discounts)
  • Development opportunities across the wider PTSG group
  • A stable, growing business delivering essential, regulated work
Why NEO?

Because this is a role where your work directly impacts delivery, cashflow and future planning — not just a line on a spreadsheet. You’ll be trusted, supported and given room to grow.
