Qualifications

• Proven experience as a QS in highways, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts is essential.
• RICS membership is an advantage, but training can be provided.

Job description

What youll do

• Preparation and submission of estimates and tender costings.
• Measurement and valuation of main and subcontract works (including take-offs).
• Drafting negotiating and administering subcontract agreements including procurement and payments.
• Preparation submission and agreement of interim and final accounts with full supporting documentation.
• Accurate commercial forecasting including CVRs margins and financial reports.
• Identification valuation and agreement of variations compensation events and claims.
• Advising project teams on commercial and contractual matters ensuring compliance with company procedures client requirements and industry standards.
• Supporting risk management and mitigation across projects.
• Driving continuous improvement and best practice in commercial processes.

Qualifications : What youll bring

• Proven experience as QS ideally with highways civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• RICS membership is an advantage however training can be given.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (essential).
• Excellent analytical numerical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work confidently with clients contractors and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently collaboratively and under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Preferred degree in Quantity Surveying Commercial Management.
• Proficient in MS Office and relevant commercial management software.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
