Quality Technician

Location : Maidenhead

Salary : £30-36k

Were looking for a meticulous Quality Technician to help ensure product compliance, strengthen our quality systems, and support operational excellence across Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing. You'll play a key role in inspections, audits, root cause problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Technician
  • Verify products against approved design documentation and accurately report deviations.
  • Conduct Goods-In, WIP, and Final Inspection in line with FIFO, SLA, and priority systems.
  • Facilitate root cause problem solving and CAPA implementation.
  • Conduct internal and external Product, Process, and QMS audits.
  • Operate within ISO9001, AS9100, Part145, and EASA 21.G quality systems.
What You'll Do Day to Day as a Quality Technician
  • Support operations with quality control input to the value stream.
  • Interpret current approved design data and engineering drawings.
  • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) per contractual requirements.
  • Conduct internal auditing and reporting on QMS compliance.
  • Select and use appropriate measuring tools / equipment; operate within the calibration system.
  • Raise Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) (RTV and RNM).
  • Perform FirstOff Inspection in line with company procedures.
  • Verify product compliance against IPC610 standards.
Qualifications & Experience Required for the successful Quality Technician
  • Mechanical and electronic inspection experience.
  • Auditor trained and qualified.
