Responsibilities
- Oversee quality assurance and health and safety protocols across all areas of the business.
- Implement and maintain quality systems; conduct risk assessments; ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Develop safety policies and procedures; participate in audits; prepare reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure safety and quality objectives are met.
- Travel to company and client sites as required to support regulatory adherence and process improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong background in Electrical and Mechanical engineering with at least 5 years in a quality engineering role.
- Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., nuclear, civil engineering, utilities, welding).
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, 14001) and health & safety regulations (OHSAS 45001).
- Skilled in audits, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and safety procedure development.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Proficient in producing reports, metrics, and conducting incident investigations for senior management.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent safety qualification.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and audits, with a full UK driving licence.
- Eligibility for SC clearance (British or ILR holder).
- Familiarity with automation systems and functional safety standards (ISO 27001) is desired.
- Degree-level education with relevant professional memberships (e.g., CQA, IOSH) is desired.
