Quality Manager (with Health & Safety Experience)

Location: Crewkerne, UK

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting for a leading SME in the UK plastics industry, and are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager with Health & Safety expertise to join its expanding team.

About the Company:

Our Client specialises in high-performance plastic components and innovative solutions for the Electrical & Electronics, Rail, Aerospace & Defence, and Automotive sectors. With a strong reputation for excellence and precision, the company is dedicated to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

The Role:

The Quality Manager will oversee and enhance the Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. This includes managing internal and external audits, implementing CAPA processes, and analysing quality performance data. The successful candidate will also champion health and safety compliance, conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and promoting a culture of awareness throughout the business.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in Quality Management within manufacturing (plastics preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/14001 and UK Health & Safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, Six Sigma) desirable.
  • Experience operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) would be advantageous but not essential.
