Quality / Welding Inspector - Day Shift

Location: Leicester

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (Negotiable DOE)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 17:15 (39 hours per week)

Job Type: Permanent (Temp to Perm)

Start Date: Immediate

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Quality Inspector to join a long-established engineering company in Leicester. We are open to applicants from both quality and welding backgrounds.

This role would be particularly suitable for a skilled welder who can read technical drawings and understands weld quality, but no longer wants to weld on a daily basis. The salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visual and dimensional inspection of welded and fabricated components
  • Using measuring tools such as verniers, callipers, gauges and other metrology equipment
  • Checking parts against engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Accurately recording inspection results
  • Working with production and welding teams to resolve quality concerns
  • Ensuring products meet required standards before dispatch
  • Keeping the inspection area tidy, safe and well organized
What We're Looking For
