Responsibilities

  • Carry out QC checks on all incoming materials and equipment.
  • Review Purchase Orders and project specifications.
  • Perform visual checks on delivered items.
  • Prepare MRR/MIR reports and update the client.
  • Manage material certifications and inspection records.
  • Keep testing documentation organized.
  • Issue Inspection and Non-Conformity Reports.
  • Oversee subcontractors to confirm compliance.
  • Witness inspections and collect QC records.

Job description
Material QC Inspector
  • 📍 Talacre, North Wales
  • 💰 Negotiable Day Rate | Outside IR35
  • ⏱️ Up to 5.5 days per week when required
  • ⏰ Contract work until 2028

Ceto Talent is supporting a major EPC contractor delivering a long-term decommissioning and carbon capture project in Liverpool Bay.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carry out QC checks on all incoming materials and equipment, ensuring items are received, stored and handled correctly
  • Review Purchase Orders and project specifications to confirm deliveries meet visual and dimensional requirements
  • Perform visual checks on delivered items, verifying integrity, markings and compliance
  • Prepare MRR/MIR reports and update the client on material status
  • Manage material certifications, inspection records and quality documentation in line with codes, standards and approved ITPs
  • Keep testing, inspection and certification documents organised and ready for the final as‑built dossier
  • Issue Inspection Material Reports, Receiving Inspection Reports and Non‑Conformity Reports
  • Oversee subcontractors to confirm they follow approved Quality Control Plans and ITPs
  • Witness inspections and collect all required QC records
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: At least 5 years in material QC activities on Oil and Gas construction or industrial sites
  • Education: Relevant degree or diploma
  • Technical skills: QC experience across structural, mechanical, civil and electrical items; familiarity with international material certifications
  • IT: Confident with MS365 and Excel
  • Eligibility: Legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship
