Quality Inspector – Ashchurch, Tewkesbury

We are a precision engineering company producing high‑quality CNC‑machined metal components. We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our small quality team on a permanent basis.

What you’ll do
  • Inspect CNC‑machined components (milling, turning, grinding) against engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Carry out first article and final inspections, record inspection data, and maintain inspection records.
  • Use precision inspection tools such as gauges, micrometers, vernier calipers, microscopes, shadowgraphs, CMM and similar equipment.
  • Program CMMs – experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Work closely with engineers to resolve inspection issues and propose manufacturing or inspection improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, well‑organised shop floor and support shop floor initiatives.
What you’ll need
  • At least two years’ experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes (milling, turning, grinding).
  • Proficiency with a range of precision inspection tools and measurement equipment.
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quality.
  • Ability to produce accurate inspection reports and maintain records.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to share ideas.
