Job description

We are seeking an experienced, precision‑focused Quality Inspector to join a well‑established manufacturing organisation. With a strong reputation for producing high‑quality engineered components, the business is looking for a skilled individual to support its Quality Control department.

Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that all components meet strict quality and customer standards before leaving the facility.

The Role

You will be responsible for both intermediate and final inspections across a wide range of components. Key duties include:

  • First‑Off Inspection: Verifying initial parts following machine setup
  • Final Inspection: Ensuring full compliance with customer specifications prior to dispatch
  • Technical Compliance: Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
  • Precision Measurement: Using a variety of equipment including micrometers, Verniers, DTIs, Shadowgraph, VICIVISION and more
What We're Looking For
  • Background: Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment is essential
  • Training: Ideally apprentice‑trained, though strong mechanical aptitude is equally valued
  • Skills: Confident using a wide range of measuring equipment; experience with a Shadowgraph is highly advantageous
  • Reliability: Comfortable with early starts and working within a high‑output team
