Job Description Summary

As a Quality Engineer Regulatory Compliance, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our products and processes meet all relevant regulatory standards and requirements. Your work will be essential in maintaining compliance with aviation regulations through monitoring activities, developing and maintaining management systems, whilst driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process safety and quality.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Compliance: Ensure compliance will all relevant regulatory standards AS9100, ISO9001, CAA Part21 and Part145.
• Auditing: Support Dowty's internal audit program covering all approvals from design, production and maintenance.
• Auditing: Conduct internal audits to monitor compliance to both elements of the management system Safety & Quality.
• Training:Develop and maintain regulatory training materials and manage training program (such as FOD, Human Factors, Counterfeit Training etc).
• Training:Empower staff with knowledge on regulatory requirements and quality standards through impactful training sessions.
• SMS:Ensure the effectiveness of the business Safety Management System (SMS) by diligently following up on Safety and Quality actions and reviewing corrective actions implementation.
• SMS:Perform detailed root cause analysis, plan, and execute corrective actions for any assigned Safety and Quality actions.
• Problem Solving:Lead transformative continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives to optimize business processes using lean methodologies.
• QMS Improvement: Ensure company quality procedures are up to date with the aviation regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Qualified Internal Auditor or certification in Quality Management.
• Working knowledge of CAA Regulations.
• Understanding of SMS (Safety Management System) requirements.
• Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems.

• Ability to influence others and lead improvement projects.
• Good oral, written communication + presentation skills.
