Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Quality Engineer to manage various projects from enquiry through production. Responsibilities include implementing quality controls, leading continuous improvement efforts, and facilitating problem-solving activities. Ideal candidates should have in-depth knowledge of quality engineering techniques, possess a relevant degree or ONC/HNC, and preferably, experience in New Product Introduction. This role offers exposure to the papermaking industry with opportunities to communicate directly with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of quality engineering techniques is essential.
  • Education to degree level or experienced with ONC/ HNC, preferably in a scientific or technical capacity.
  • Experience within the papermaking industry is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Review order enquiries for past complaints and feed into relevant teams.
  • Facilitate FMEA for orders and generate control plans to mitigate risk.
  • Ensure customer requirements are communicated to Operations and QC functions.
  • Identify and lead problem-solving activities for quality issues.
  • Visit customers and suppliers to resolve feedback or problems.
  • Support design and development of products through phased gate process.
  • Work on deliverables within the process according to the RACI.
