Quality Engineer Oldham

A leading organisation in Oldham is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join its Quality Systems team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to take on a broad and challenging role supporting continuous improvement and maintaining world‑class standards.

Responsibilities

• Support ISO9001 IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality systems
• Lead and participate in internal supplier and customer audits
• Assist wafer fabrication teams sales teams and automotive customers
• Manage PCN and PPAP processes ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction
• Investigate customer issues drive root cause analysis and develop corrective actions
• Produce and maintain internal processes procedures and reports

Qualifications

• Certified auditor status with proven auditing experience
• Strong knowledge of core quality tools : FMEA SPC MSA PPAP APQP
• Experience with ISO9001 IATF16949 VDA6.3 ISO14001 or similar standards
• Excellent communication report writing and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment

Desirable Skills

• Six Sigma Green / Black Belt qualification
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma 8D and structured problem‑solving tools
• Experience in the semiconductor or automotive industry
• Strong IT skills (Excel Word PowerPoint SharePoint)
• Additional languages such as Chinese or German
