Overview

Working in modern, purpose-built manufacturing facilities we now require a Quality Engineer to join the quality department which consist of Quality Director, Quality Manager, Senior Quality Engineers, Quality Engineers, Quality Inspectors and CMM.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Quality Manager in maintaining certifications.
  • Conduct product and system audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
  • Compile documentation packs to support product delivery and traceability.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine quality standards.
  • Apply First Article Inspection techniques in line with AS9100 requirements
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the business
  • Use quality tools to detect, contain, and investigate non-conformances, ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented
  • Define and apply process control methods, including identifying critical control points and developing work instructions
The ideal candidate
  • Previous experience working within a quality engineering role focused towards manufacturing and ideally highly regulated parts such as Aerospace, Automotive, Rail.
  • Knowledge of machining and fabrication techniques for metal components
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO14001 & NADCAP.
  • Knowledge of Process flow charts PFMEA & PPAP.

Commutable from: Derby, Nottingham, Burton-Upon-Trent and surrounding areas.
