Quality Engineer – Manufacturing

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum

We're working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Bournemouth that is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across production.

Responsibilities
  • Support and develop quality management systems to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Carry out internal and external audits as required.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and analyse quality performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) with quality planning and documentation.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of ISO9001 (additional standards such as AS9100 or IATF16949 advantageous).
  • Experience with PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and other quality tools.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Confident using measurement and inspection equipment and quality software.
