Quality Engineer

Location: Based in Wolverhampton

Hours: 39 hours per week

Reports to: Senior Quality Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support operations in maintaining high standards of product quality. You will act as a technical expert in quality tools and techniques, ensuring that manufacturing processes and documentation meet both internal and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation and controls.
  • Compile and manage customer‑specific documentation.
  • Support internal manufacturing teams in resolving customer and internal quality issues.
  • Work closely with NPI teams on control plans, PFMEA, and gauge planning.
  • Carry out internal audits and support compliance activities.
  • Provide quality and process data to manufacturing teams to drive improvements.
  • Train and support Quality Technicians and Product Conformance Technicians.
  • Visit customer and supplier sites to resolve quality concerns and build strong relationships.
About You
  • Proven experience applying quality assurance techniques with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of metal forming and fabrication processes.
  • Experience in a 1st Tier Automotive Supplier Quality Engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of OEM customer requirements.
