A growing laboratory consultancy in the Peterborough area is seeking a Quality Coordinator. The role involves managing quality management systems to ensure UKAS accreditation and performing calibration tests alongside liaising with clients. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Science or equivalent and experience in quality systems within a laboratory environment. A competitive salary will be offered based on qualifications and experience.
Our client is an expanding and fast growing asbestos laboratory based consultancy offering various services to clients from all levels and due to present requirement, they are now looking for a smart, focused and self‑motivated Quality Coordinator in and around the Cambridgeshire area. Undertaking daily tasks such as dealing with quality management systems to ensure that UKAS accreditation are maintained, management of documents, and carry out calibration tests to make sure that all equipment works as it should. Consideration will be given to applications from Huntingdon, Peterborough, Cambridge, and the surrounding areas.
Ideally, they are looking for an individual who comes from a good educational background, a degree in Science or HNC or equivalent.
Must have varied and valid experience working with the Quality Systems and in a laboratory environment.
Must be well versed with the quality control systems.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Must have excellent communication, client facing, organizational and people management, technical, auditing and analytical skills.
We are also interested in anyone with p401/p402/p403/p404/p404 or s301 CCP.
Dealing with Quality Management Systems ensuring the UKAS accreditations are maintained.
Working in the laboratory and assisting with the quality control and complying with the Health & Safety needs.
Managing documents and getting approval before issuing.
Coordinating of proficient testing – external, applications and receipt/registration of samples.
Doing calibration and equipment checks – ensuring works properly.
Liaising with clients.
Auditing.
In general, the successful candidate will be of smart disposition, have good attention to detail and have the ability to manage workload effectively and appropriately.
