The Role
This is a hands-on quality role within a fabrication and manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in implementing, maintaining, and improving quality processes in line with ISO 9001:2015, ensuring full traceability, compliance, and continuous improvement across Wiltech's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
- Develop, review, and control quality documentation including ITPs, QCPs, WPS, PQRs, and WPQs.
- Monitor and manage calibration of inspection tools, gauges, instruments, and welding equipment.
- Maintain welding traceability, NDT logs, repair records, and full QA dossiers.
- Raise, manage, and close NCRs, CARs, and PARs with robust root-cause analysis and documented evidence.
- Conduct shop-floor audits, in-process inspections, and compliance checks.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean manufacturing.
- Plan, schedule, and carry out internal audits in line with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Prepare audit plans, reports, KPIs, and corrective action tracking.
- Support and coordinate external audits, certification body assessments, and surveillance visits.
- Ensure all quality records and documentation are accurate, up to date, and compliant.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a QA/QC capacity within fabrication, construction, or industrial manufacturing.
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification (valid and currently recognised) - mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, inspections, and documentation control.
- Proven experience working in a shop-floor or factory-based environment.
- Ability to manage audits, non-conformances, and corrective actions independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Background in fabrication, welding, or structural steel manufacturing.
- Knowledge of NDT processes and weld quality standards.
