As we continue to grow and mature as an institution, robust and thoughtful quality assurance and governance processes are central to everything we do.

Who are we?

NMITE is a UK-based higher education provider founded to reimagine how engineering and technology education is delivered. We combine rigorous academic standards with an interdisciplinary, human‑centred and project‑based approach to learning. Our first cohort graduated in 2025, and we continue to build a distinctive institution grounded in creativity, inclusion and real‑world impact.

As a young and ambitious organisation, NMITE values people who can balance innovation with good governance, and who take pride in doing things well.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a detail‑oriented, organised and collaborative Quality Assurance Co‑ordinator to support the successful operation of NMITE's quality assurance and academic governance framework. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across academic and professional services teams to ensure policies, processes and systems operate effectively, consistently and in line with regulatory expectations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in HE or FE quality assurance or registry functions who wants to make a visible contribution in a growing institution.

  • Provide ongoing support to Programme Leaders throughout the academic year, helping to ensure the smooth operation of the academic quality lifecycle.
  • Support the scheduling and administration of assessment and mark verification processes.
  • Maintain accurate student records relating to assessment, modules and awards, and oversee systems for the retention of student work.
Academic Governance and Committee Support
  • Act as secretary to academic governance committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and papers, taking accurate minutes and following up agreed actions.
  • Prepare reports and papers on academic quality and standards as required.
  • Manage Assessment Board administration, including production of committee papers and associated reports.
Regulatory and Enhancement Activity
  • Support NMITE's preparation for externally facing quality and regulatory activity, including Degree Awarding Powers reporting, professional accreditation and the Teaching Excellence Framework.
  • Support quality assurance processes relating to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provision.
  • Contribute to the development, review and enhancement of NMITE policies and procedures.
Working as Part of the Quality Team

Work flexibly and collaboratively as part of the Quality Assurance and Governance team, contributing to wider projects, initiatives and continuous improvement activity as required.

  • At least three years' experience in a registry, quality assurance or similar role within HE or FE.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of servicing committees, including scheduling meetings and producing clear, accurate minutes and reports.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
