Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Incoming Inspector to join their team in Marlborough, England. The role requires at least 5 years of demonstrated experience with incoming inspections and standard measurement equipment. The successful candidate will inspect mechanical and electrical components, perform reviews of documentation, and maintain quality control logs. This is a contract position lasting over 4 months, requiring onsite presence.

Qualifications

What does a typical day look like? (daily tasks) Teir 1 meeting with the days priorities set. Working off a inspection priority/aging report. Interacting with the other inspectors, production team and engineering. Updating the EBS system with the daily transactions. Accessing drawings through Agile.

  • Preferred background/prior work experience? Minimal of 5 years’ experience as an Incoming Inspector utilizing height gauges, calipers, surface plate inspections. CMM or vision system skills are a plus.
  • Priority soft skills Working knowledge of Microsoft apps Excel, Word. Ability to navigate EBS systems with data entry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

  • Perform Incoming/In-Process Inspection on mechanical/electrical components using standard inspection equipment such as Height Gauges, Surface Plates, Verniers, Dial Indicators, Ring/Plug Gauges, Optical Comparators, CMM, OGP etc.
  • Complete and/or review Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection documentation. (Component Inspection Folders, checklist, release forms, calibration data records etc.
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCE’s) on Nonconformance’s.
  • Perform detailed review of Device History Records and labels as part of final inspection/release activities for the finished product.
  • Inspect field service replaceable units.
  • Perform requested inspections for Engineering and other departments. (First Articles and Courtesy inspections) And assist with the development of appropriate inspection procedures, checklist, forms and Inspection Instructions.
  • Maintain QC Activity Collection Plans and other applicable tracking logs.
  • Prepared incoming inspection reports such as Inspection projects Skip lot and incoming inspection inventory.
