A leading British manufacturer in Malvern is seeking a Quality and Development Engineer to ensure all products meet quality standards. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, leading audits, assisting in product development, and collaborating with teams. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, practical mechanical and electrical experience, and excellent communication skills. This is a full-time on-site position with a competitive salary of £25,500 to £32,000 per annum.

The Quality and Development Engineer will report into the Quality and Development Manager, ensuring that all ropes and cords manufactured at English Braids meet internal and customer specifications. The role will be a mixture of office‑based administrative tasks and practical work on the factory floor. This role is critical in maintaining product quality, leading and supporting audits, conducting quality control checks, and driving continuous improvement. Additionally, the role contributes to the development of new products and specifications, ensuring that innovation aligns with quality standards and customer expectations. The Quality and Development Engineer will be required to act as a leader and mentor to the production team in matters of engineering and quality and provide direct support to production staff when unusual problems are experienced. In addition, the role will ideally support an apprentice and would also support work experience within the Quality/Technical team.
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week, on‑site 5 days per week, free on‑site parking available. Commutable from Bromyard, Droitwich Spa, Evesham, Hereford, Ledbury, Malvern, Pershore, Tewkesbury, Worcester.
