Overview

Job Title: Qualified Secondary Teacher

Location: Sheffield

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £170 - £240 per day

Are you a committed and dedicated Secondary Teacher? Are you looking for a new and flexible role? Have you got strong behaviour management skills?

Due to high demand, TeacherActive is looking to recruit Qualified Teachers to enrich the learning and development of KS3 & KS4 students across South Yorkshire. We are looking for people of all specialisms, but do have General Cover roles if preferred. We are looking for Teachers who can engage students and demonstrate effective teaching practices and strong behaviour management skills. We work with amazing Secondary Schools across Sheffield and we can offer part-time or full-time work and short-term or long-term work for the successful candidate. We offer work depending on your location and travel distance.

Responsibilities

• Engage students and demonstrate effective teaching practices.
• Maintain strong behaviour management in the classroom.
• Deliver lessons to KS3 & KS4 across partner secondary schools.
• Work on a flexible basis, including part-time, full-time, short-term and long-term placements based on location and travel distance.

Qualifications

• QTS/PGCE/Cert Ed or other relevant teaching qualifications (ECTs are welcome to apply).
• Experience working with young people with differing needs and developing appropriate strategies to help them achieve their goals.
• Ability to follow the National Curriculum.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with a practical approach to engaging pupils.
• Ability to build good relationships with staff and pupils.
• Fantastic classroom management.
