Bus Driver £15.40 - £21.25 per hour

Pay & Benefits

• Pay rate: £15.40 - £21.25 per hour.
• During Training (the first 3 weeks) – £13.15 per hour.
• Experienced PCV Bus Drivers / After Training:
  • First 12 months – £15.40 per hour, increasing to £19.25 per hour after 9pm.
  • 12-24 months – £15.80 per hour, increasing to £19.75 per hour after 9pm.
  • 24 months+ – £17.00 per hour, increasing to £21.25 per hour after 9pm.
  • If you are a PCV holder with more than 12 months experience within the last 4 years, you will start on 12-24m rate.
• Pay rates reviewed via frequent pay negotiations.
• If you’re a Trainee, you’ll receive full paid training and obtain your PCV licence through Arriva Training School.
• Training normally lasts approx. 3 weeks at our Purley Way depot, followed by mentorship.
• Overtime opportunities – extra shifts, bank holidays, all paid at a premium rate.

Hours of Work

• 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns, planned up to 6-8 weeks in advance.
• Mornings starting from 04:00, Afternoons from 12:00 and Evenings from 18:00 on a rotational basis.
• We cannot offer fixed early, afternoon or evenings separately.
• Overtime available at request / availability.
