Job summary

A leading aerospace firm in Warton is seeking a Qualification Certification and Verification Engineer for a 12-month contract, 4 days per week onsite. The candidate will be responsible for generating qualification requirements, performing safety analyses, and managing system investigations. A strong knowledge of the 'V' lifecycle and safety documentation is essential. The role requires UK MOD Security Clearance at SC level.

Qualification Certification and Verification Engineer

Warton, Lancashire – 4 days per week onsite – 12 month contract – Pay rate £33.97 p/h PAYE, basic (£38.91 including holiday pay) or £45.72 p/h Umbrella

We are looking for a number of Qualification, Certification and Verification Engineers to work for our defence aerospace client onsite in Warton.

Responsibilities
  • Generating qualification requirements including rig and flight test instructions and clearance advice.
  • Performing safety analyses and generating safety documentation.
  • Management of system problem assessments and investigations.
  • Support to aircraft configuration and verification activity.
  • Support the generation of clearance and safety documentation, ensuring quality and process adherence and providing engineering oversight.
  • Discharge work across multiple contracts, to programme and budget.
Requirements
  • A good understanding of the 'V' lifecycle and its application to the production of qualification requirements and aircraft certification and clearances.
  • A good understanding of the Defensive Aids Sub-System (desirable).
  • The ability to develop and present a range of complex data to a variety of stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage tasks across multiple contracts, balancing priorities and workload across a team.
  • The ability to identify and pro-actively resolve issues impacting Programmes, escalating any issues for resolution by exception.
  • Prior ability with people management (desirable).
  • Liaising and managing customer and supplier relationships (desirable).
  • Ability to produce System Safety Documents such as PHAs, SARs, and ability to clearly articulate System Safety Arguments. (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of System Safety Toolsets (Reliability Work Bench) and of analysis including Cut Set Analysis. (Desirable).
Additional Information

The successful candidate will need to gain a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level before starting. A new SC application will be sponsored if required.
