A leading scientific company in Basingstoke is seeking a Quality Control Associate Scientist to ensure that all media products meet quality standards. Key responsibilities include quality control testing, documentation within SAP, and collaborating with team members. The ideal candidate should have a Level 6 qualification in Microbiology and strong organizational skills. This role provides an opportunity to work in a laboratory environment with a focus on health and safety.

Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials
Location/Division Specific Information:
Working as part of our Microbiology Division (MBD), within the Specialty Diagnostics Group, you’ll play an active part in helping us to achieve our mission. The Microbiology Division discovers microbiological solutions for the diagnosis of infectious disease and detection of bacterial contamination. We serve public health, clinical laboratories, food companies, environmental screening and pharmaceutical laboratories with a portfolio of products that include culture media, antimicrobial susceptibility testing solutions and market-leading molecular solutions for food safety testing.

A quality control associate scientist is responsible for ensuring that all media products meet predefined quality standards before they are released for use in laboratories, clinical settings, or industrial applications. This includes testing raw materials, in-process products, and finished products, such as culture media, to ensure a high quality of consistency and performance according to regulatory and industry standards.
