Responsibilities
  • To carry out material testing and maintain excellent housekeeping whilst following appropriate safety, environment, and risk management systems.
  • Carry out routine laboratory tests ensuring the manufactured film meets the customer specification.
  • Provide analysis of material samples to support decision making within department.
  • Prepare for laboratory tasks using the appropriate techniques, procedures, SOP’s, and methods.
  • To analyse, interpret and evaluate data in order to identify results requiring further investigation by senior colleagues/ manager as appropriate.
  • Produce reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of quality testing undertaken.
  • Use of specified laboratory equipment, including calibration where required.
  • Recognise problems and apply appropriate scientific methods to identify causes and achieve solutions.
  • To summarise test results and communicate these effectively to customers as required.
  • Participate in continuous business performance improvement.
  • To work to and promote a positive H&S culture.
  • To assist the business with other activities as required.
Qualifications
  • Education: A-level
  • Skills/Experience: Experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment (desirable but not essential as full training will be provided). Proficient in use of computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Personality/attributes: Attention to detail, proactive and solution focused, ability to perform independently.
