Job description
QA Operator

St Austell | £13.01 - £14.37 per hour | 4-on-4-off Rotating Shifts | Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out quality inspection of all manufactured items in line with set quality standards.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of batch documentation.
  • Taking and inspecting in-process control (IPC) samples as per specifications and standard operating instructions (SOIs).
  • Reporting and recording all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts.
  • Maintaining excellent levels of housekeeping in line with 5S principles.
  • Supporting with packaging, labelling and general operation of production machinery.
  • Responding to machine alarms and taking corrective action to maintain production flow.
  • Ensuring all work complies with company policies, procedures, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines.
  • Conducting effective shift handovers and escalating issues to relevant departments as required.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP or similar).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures accurately and maintain attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with a proactive and reliable work ethic.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts (4 Days 7am-7pm, 4 Days Off, 4 Nights 7pm-7am).
