Job description
Overview

We require a highly motivated individual to undertake the role of a QA Assistant to monitor and verify all food safety, legality and quality procedures as outlined within the company’s Food Safety and Quality Management System whilst also ensuring health and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and verification checks throughout the factory, including temperature, CCPs and pre-requisite requirements
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork
  • Verify production check sheets
  • Butchery checks to ensure that product meets customer specifications
  • Internal auditing
  • Investigate non-conformances
  • Verify completed investigation of non-conformances and customer complaints
  • Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene rules in the factory environment
  • Assist in preparation for customer visits, third party and internal audits
  • Any other duties within the competency of the job as directed by management
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in QA/QC or GMP environment
  • Understanding of HACCP and BRC quality management systems - Qualifications in this area desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of red meat sector
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to details and organisation skills
  • Good communicator
Hours of work

40 hours per week Monday – Friday exact hours of work to be confirmed but please note that flexibility may be required to suit operational requirements
