A bit about the role

As part of the Retail Test team, you will be responsible for analysis, planning, design, implementation and delivery of testing to ensure product readiness of complex technical systems in a mixed technology environment.

As an QA Analyst, you will deliver on-time high quality software projects for a company that has raised more than £45bn for good causes and puts quality and brand integrity above all else. You will be working on a wide and varied range of projects; some small where you could be on your own for a week or two, to very large with dozens of QA Analysts for a year or more. This role is expected to be an SME in at least one Allwyn system or application

What you’ll be doing
  • Review Requirements, Design and Architecture from a Quality perspective and provide appropriate feedback
  • Utilize domain expertise to contribute to the shaping of the test approach on one or more projects in liaison with other team members and the QA Lead(s)
  • Assist with identifying testing suitable for automation
  • Identify and implement improvements to QA process
  • Identify areas for exploratory testing
  • Perform test analysis, design and execution on projects within remit, logging defects, updating results and reporting progress.
  • Support and covering for QA Lead
  • As a specialist, own knowledge sharing with the rest of the team
  • Assist in ensuring process compliance across the QA team
  • Researches and suggests tools to help QA activities
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of multiple areas across Camelot and the Gambling domain
  • Be an expert in domain specific tools
What experience we’re looking for
  • Strong experience in QA and Testing methodologies including functional and structural test techniques
  • Track record in the use of innovative technology solutions to deliver efficiencies in testing and defect prevention
  • Expert understanding of technologies such as SQL, Putty, Postman and OS’s such as Windows and Unix
  • Good knowledge of tools like Jira, Test Rail, Confluence or similar
  • Proven experience of requirements validation and risk-based testing
  • Hands on experience specifying, establishing and managing test environments and test data
  • Proven estimation ability and techniques
  • Strong and well-developed understanding of internet technologies and distributed environments
  • Holds industry recognised certifications such as ISTQB
  • You are a solid communicator.
