Job summary

A leading renewable energy firm is seeking a skilled technician to perform maintenance and inspections on solar PV systems across the UK. The role involves diagnosing electrical faults, conducting routine repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in electrical maintenance and experience with industry-standard testing equipment. This position also includes contributing to the green energy transition and involves a paid weekend rota approximately once every five weeks.

Qualifications

Location: Sites across the UK (region-based)

Schedule: MondayFriday with a paid weekend rota (approx. 1 in 5 weekends) and occasional overnight stays

What Youll Do
  • Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and remedial work on solar PV systems (AC & DC)
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fixes as needed
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, using industry-standard testing equipment (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, etc.)
