Overview

Job Opportunity: Purchase Ledger Controller

Salary: GBP28,600 per annum

Location: Doncaster

Full-Time Permanent

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for accuracy and efficiency? We are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Controller to join our finance team and take ownership of the purchase ledger function within a busy and dynamic organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Process a high volume of invoices accurately and promptly
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Handle supplier queries via phone, post, and email
  • Monitor and manage debit balances and process necessary refunds
  • Process all company payments (Sterling and foreign currency)
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and ledger control accounts
  • Maintain the cash book and manage petty cash at Head Office
  • Assist with year-end audit requirements
  • Complete monthly Intrastat reporting and ad hoc reports for budget holders
  • Drive improvements in purchase ledger processes and systems
  • Provide support for Sales and Purchase Ledger functions when required
What we need from you
  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role is essential
  • Knowledge of EPICOR (EPICORE) is advantageous
  • Strong IT skills and confidence with financial systems
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and numeracy
  • Excellent planning, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet monthly deadlines
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude and strong problem-solving skills
