Job Opportunity: Purchase Ledger Controller
Salary: £28,600 per annum
Location: Doncaster
Employment: Full-Time Permanent
Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and promptly
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Handle supplier queries via phone, post, and email
- Monitor and manage debit balances and process necessary refunds
- Process all company payments (Sterling and foreign currency)
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and ledger control accounts
- Maintain the cash book and manage petty cash at Head Office
- Assist with year-end audit requirements
- Complete monthly Intrastat reporting and ad hoc reports for budget holders
- Drive improvements in purchase ledger processes and systems
- Provide support for Sales and Purchase Ledger functions when required
What we need from you
- Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role is essential
- Knowledge of EPICOR is advantageous
- Strong IT skills and confidence with financial systems
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and numeracy
- Excellent planning, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet monthly deadlines
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude and strong problem-solving skills
