A housing association in Cambridgeshire seeks a Purchase Ledger Administrator on a 1-year fixed term contract. This hybrid role involves data input and administrative support for the purchase ledger, ensuring payments are processed accurately. The ideal candidate will understand accounting, provide exceptional customer service, and possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Purchase Ledger Administrator
Location: Endurance House, Histon, Cambridge, CB24 9ZR (hybrid working; minimum one day working from home)
Fixed Term Contract 1 year maternity cover
21 hours per week to be worked preferably Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7 hours per day but flexible. Working pattern to be agreed with successful candidate.
Salary: £29,633.90 per annum which equates to £17,780.34 per annum for 21 hours per week
Be responsible for data input and administrative support for purchase ledger; payment stage of manual BACS payment requests and rent refunds ensuring they are dealt with accurately and efficiently.
Review invoices received to ensure that they meet HMRC requirements and are correctly invoiced to CHS.
Register invoices onto the purchase ledger system. Match invoices against purchase orders and prepare batches for the purchasing ordering system ensuring code structure is applied correctly and deal with any queries with colleagues and external suppliers.
Log invoices onto our purchase order system and file electronically.
A basic understanding of accounting.

Able to work diplomatically and confidently with high standards or oral and written communication.
Experience of using IT including accounting systems, Outlook, Word and Excel.
