Job description

£60,000 £80,000/annum Flexible Salary + 33 Day Holiday

We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with experience of setting up Distributors throughout the USA and Canada to manage existing accounts and set up/develop new Distributors. Ideally you will have sold products into Mining or a similar heavy industry, used to being on sites in your Wellingtons and hard hat comfortable dealing at all levels.

The role will involve c.45% of your time being overseas and being office based in the Stoke on Trent area when not traveling, you will probably be away for 2 to 3 weeks at a time to cover the area more effectively and to make the longer travel worthwhile.

You will need to come from a technical background, have a proven overseas Sales track record, dealing within a heavy engineering industry ideally Mining, Coal/Thermal Power, Hydro Power, or Agricultural etc, comfortable dealing at all levels on site in a very hands-on environment. Being part of the Global Sales team, you will need to be happy to be office based (Commutable to the Stoke on Trent area Monday to Friday when not overseas), managing technical enquiries, setting up meetings with Distributors and their end users, developing new relationships and bringing on new Distributors throughout your territory.
