Responsibilities

Applications are welcomed from both experienced and newly qualified nurses; some previous experience of working within a community environment would be beneficial. You will be supported by a preceptorship programme and by your manager and colleagues. You will receive regular appraisal, clinical and safeguarding supervision.

Qualifications & Professional Training
  • Registered Nurse (Adult/Child)
  • Evidence of recent professional development
  • Mentorship Level 6 (desirable)
  • Modules at level 6 – Public Health Related (desirable)
  • Solihull Approach trained (desirable)
  • Motivational Interviewing trained (desirable)
  • Immunisation training (desirable)
Experience and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Public Health Priorities
  • Knowledge of child development
  • Knowledge of safeguarding issues and working with vulnerable families
  • Understanding of role within the Public Health Team
  • Two years post registration with 12 months community experience (desirable)
  • Experience of data collection for reports (desirable)Previous experience or working in a community environment (desirable)
